Didache, the Greek word for teaching, is a Catholic daily Bible reflection guide written by ordinary people who seek to live out the Gospel in their everyday life. This reflection guide hopes to encourage the use of Sacred Scriptures among Catholics
I got Didache from a colleague at work whom I honesty dislike because her actions and how she treated me is displeasing. As I reflect now, perhaps this is her way of praying for the change of heart (my heart). At first, I put Didache aside because I am used to the material I bought from another Catholic bookstore. When I decided to use Didache to guide me in my daily meditation, it provided me inspiration as I can relate with the sharings of the writers. I even wished I could someday write for Didache about my experiences, about my journey here on earth and my relationship with God my creator and author of my life and my relationship with others. My day is not complete without my daily routine of reading Didache. When I wake up in the morning I am always reminded by St. Paul "Put God first and He will direct and crown your efforts with success". I bring with me my Didache where ever I go. Last month, when I went home to Laguna, I forgot to bring it again with me when I return to work (I am assigned in Pampanga for 5 years now) and since Didache is part of my life, the book that is in the photo that I sent is my second Didache. I cannot live without my Didache. The Didache I left at home is shared with my siblings and I use it whenever I am home. The only thing that I cannot follow in the 5 steps in using Didache is to write a journal of my reflections. I wish I could do my reflection on the month of my birthday (October). I seldom do my reflections as I do it when my emotions call for it - like when I hit rock bottom because of depression and disappointments and when my father died 4 years ago. Lastly, thank you Bro Bo for coming up with this material and I wish and pray that many people will patronize your products and creations. God bless you always. Please be safe
and healthy during this time of pandemic.
